    Portrait Italien Badge?

I got this nice Portrait and my first thought was this is some WHW-Badge,
but could this possible be the badge from the Italien 79. Infantryregiment
    Pasubie Division?
    All comments are appreciated.

That is the weapon of Rome: Romelus, Remelus and the wolf who raised them. Romelus and Remelus were, according to the legends, the founders of Rome. I have no idea what the purpose of this pin is though... I am sure other member can add something.

    Hope this helped,

    J-W

      Hi

He is wearing an Opera Ballila (Italian Fascist youth cap badge).

Here a better version of the badge. You can buy it for about 12 Euros:

In my opinion it isn't the badge of "Opera Nazionale Balilla"
But of the "79th Brigade Pasubio".
On the picture you can see the ribbon of Ostmedaille, then the officer
fought in Russia, probably next to the Italian Division.
For brotherhood, or remember he wore the insignia of the allied.
Here a photo of the insigna, with Other badges for Italian infantry brigades (Pasubio, Sabaudia, Lupi di Toscana, Venezia, and Torino)

Thank you Ardito, that was also my opinion. When you compare the badges you can see that the badge that you show is slightly "bigger" than the badges of the "Opera Nazionale Balilla".
I really appreciate all the input given here. Thank you.
              Best Regards

                Very interesting photo!
Luca is absolutely right - it´s doubtless a "Pasubio" badge.
Please note the clear visible basement / pedestal (with letters S.P.Q.R.= Senatus Populusque Romanus ) and quite different shape of the she-wolf´s head.

Maybe, he was a member of the divisional DVK.
During the russian campaign, there were, in the first phase, a Deutsche Verbindungskommando b.ital.Expeditionkorps in Russland and a Deutsche Verbindungsstab zum Kgl.ital. 8 AOK, in the second phase.

I took a picture to show the size of the badge, is identical to the photograph.
                    Regards, Luca.

It 's just a faint trace, but I hope that, with some luck, maybe we might be able to identify this oberleutnant.

For example, I have this information:

-DVK for the Ravenna division - Oblt. Pernter
-DVK for the Cosseria division - Lt. Reichel

... but unfortunately I could not find a list of the German liaison officers for the Pasubio division

Is there someone who can help me?
