Knoghts Cross Death Notice + a few others

Here are a couple of interesting death Notices from my friend Bill Petz. The Boselager one actually came from me. I got it from one of my wifes girlfriends whose father was a Panzer Officer during the war.Jim

Hi Jim and Bill, thank you as always for showing interesting paper items!

Just I am too ignorant of death notices, but the first one is from a family with a single son and (at least one) son-in-law, right? And it appears to be not a news paper cutout but a single death card with two names, am I correct?

            Hi Akira,

You are right correct on all counts. Both are also Gebirgsjaegers and pretty well decorated. I have thousands of death notices/death cards. I also started collecting these when not that many folks were interested in them. They have become popular since it gives alot of information about the deceased soldier. Some even give units that they belonged to but that wasn't a standard practice for security reasons. Bill
