I've been "into" the Soviet IS-3 lately and apparently, although the first ones did not leave the factory until May 1945 and thus could not be used in Europe, there are unconfirmed reports of the god-tank being used against the Japanese in Manchuria in August. Can anyone give me more info on this? I was familiar with the role the BT tanks played in smashing the Japanese, but if any IS-3 tanks actually fought there I'd love to see how awesome they did. It is comparable to the King Tiger!
