    A Mein Kampf with a story!

    Hello,

    This has allways been one of the jewels in my collection.
    A Mein Kampf from 1937, 265.-269. Auflage which is neatly personalized.
    The personalized stuff makes is extra special for me, and it belonged to quite an interesting person.
    Although loose from the book came a small typed card which summed up the life of the person who owned this Mein Kampf.
    Originally typed in Dutch, I have translated it in English.

    "This Reichsdeutscher who had it so well in Holland, who was a piano dealer (helped his father) and who was 100% German, also went into the German army as a volunteer.
    He experienced Austria, Poland too, but died in France.
    He could not have done that alone, he had to die for his VATERLAND eventually.
    He was not a bad kid, about the same age as me."

    On the right page we can read the following;

    "Born in the Netherlands, but wanting to belong to DEUTSCHLAND".

    So if we look at the typed card and at the personalized Mein Kampf we can conclude that the person, a certain mr. A. Koch, Was born in The Netherlands from German parents but went into the German army before 1938 but died during the invasion of France in 1940.
    Could he be found on Volksbund, because I think this is worthy of more research!

    With kind regards,

    Koen.
