                Isn't this at Don Bosco? Don Bosco was a confiscated monastery in Apeldoorn used as a trainingground for the SS. The SS Kraftfahrer Ersatz Abteilung 1 was trained overthere.

                Altough the first photo shows the men taking there oath over a artillery piece, which makes a artillery unit more possible?

                    Hi,

                    This is the former Bereden wapens kazerne also known as the willem III kazerne in the centre of Amersfoort, it is demolisched in 1978. The unit is a artillerie ersatz abteilung. I have a big collection of this unit including albums, loos pictures, ekm,documents, feldpost etc. I live in one of the buildings next to the former kazerne built in the same time as the base.

                    so not a dutch freiwillige or landstorm unit, only a dutch based unit nothingand also nothing to do with the concentration camp

                    Check your pm.

                    Best regards,

                    karel

                          Hallo

                          @ Mogdala
                          The troops shown are of the SS-Polizei-Artillerie Ersatz Abteilung, wich was based at the WIllem III Barracks.

                          This artillery replacemnet bataillon was at first the replacemnet unit for the Artillerie Regiment of the SS-PolizeiDivision. LAter it became the replacemnet unit for non-motorised artillery units,and in may 1943 it was renamed V./SS-ArtillerieAusbildungs und Ersatz Regiment.

                          It left Amersfoort eventually in Okotber/November 1944 when it went to Komotau.

                          @WHscharfschütze:
                          Could you perhaps post some of these photos in the future?

                          best regards

                          Nico
