Nice 1914 EK2 award document...

i have got this award document not long ago and i dont know too many things about the 1914 award documents, but it looks nice and i also would like to know that how is it related to Metz ?

The General who signed (printed signature) the document was the Governor of the (German) Fortress Metz General Ernst von Oven (* 1859 + 1945).

The soldier was under his command.
