    Some well awarded veterans!

    Hello,

I did not know if I should put this on the BRD page or on the photo page, so excuse me if I am wrong.
I have a large amount of photo's from the Bundesmarine in my posession, but I never managed to find out who the three following persons are.

Deutsches Kreuz in Gold (1957 version).

    Fregattenkapitän with large ribbon bar.

Another Fregattenkapitän with also a large ribbon bar.

Is there someone who knows who these high ranking officers are?
They seem to have been well awarded during the Second World War so identification should not be that difficult.

    With kind regards,

    Koen.

      Thanks for the quick identification!

(By the way, A priest who was awarded the DKIG? Hmm, wonder what he did to be awarded that... )

He only became a priest after the war. He had served since 1936 and up to the end of the war as a career sailor with the Kriegsmarine.

It was Oberpfarrer Kar Keil who preached the funeral sermon when Großadmiral Karl Dönitz was interred January 1981.
