Mussolini's dead body photographs - GRAPHIC

    Hello all,

Have a collection of photos that show Mussolini's body in late April, early May 1945. The Vet that captured the photograph even labeled who's in the photo. I can make out Petacci, Pavolini, Starace, and Mussolini. Anyone else know who's in the photo? Thought you would enjoy.

I have seen the common photo always in books. It's nice(if one could even use that word here) to see a different version.
      Thanks for posting.

        Well

7 bodies hung in Milan were as follows(from Left to Right):

1 – Unidentified - Shirtless with what appears to be a rope or suspenders around his mid-torso, which can be seen in photos from other side.

2 - Nicola Bombacci- Minister of Interior. Mussolini's friend - Dark trousers and dark shirt.

3 - Unidentified - Army trousers (? a little darker), Shirt pulled down. One widely distrubuted photo identifies body as Gelormini(?).

4 - Benito Mussolini - Army officer trousers with stripe on side. Boots. Wearing a light undershirt. His coat was removed.

5 - Clara Petacci - dark skirt & coat(?) Skirt is tied up around her knees.

6 - Alessandro Pavolini - ex-Ministry of Popular Culture - Boots and Army trousers, shirtless. Sign tied to him.

7 - Archille Starace - Secretary of Fascist Party 1931-1939 - Shirtless with Army trousers. He was executed on the spot before being hung.

There must have been loads of people snapping away at the corpses, Ive seen similar photos in a returned service mans league collection here in Australia.

                JOHN

the wife of Mussolini was Rachele Mussolini. She survived his husband and died 1979 (she was born 1890!).

The lady hung together with Mussolini (1883 - 1945) was his mistress Clara Petacci (1912 - 1945). She was executed together with him.

What do you think they're worth? I'm thinking about selling these as I have no interest in photographs.

What is it Mussolini is holding in his hand while on the floor?

                            Certainly a ghoulish topic.

I have copies of infinitely more graphic pictures of Musso following his autopsy.

                            Not for the squeamish.

                              Hello there,

Here are some more shots. Looks like there were a ton of GI's there to snap some photos:
