it is real, and i believe quite original! my mom and dad were dps after the war, and were relocated to stuttgart (where i was born) in former ss barracks/housing. he discovered it hidden there. unfortunately, no ring to go with it, but interesting, in think, nonetheless. i will have to get it from my mom and scan it in. it does not appear to be a photograph or anything, and the signature appears to be in real ink. i've been trying to find out where to get it appraised, but with no luck so far. any ideas, folks?

You can get authentifcation here, and you will also get an honest appraisal here.
I'm sure there will be many here that want to do all of this off of the forum.
I am interested to see this document.
If what you say is so, it very well may be an original. You should scan or photograph it and post it here for the experts. "Max History" is a member that has a good keen eye for this type of item.
Good luck,
Jp

himmpler paper jpegs
member john pen. has kindly offered to post the jpegs for me. i've mailed them to him, so unless they are too big and i have to start over, i hope you all will be able to see the document soon.
further info: my dad found it in stuttgart in the rothweg siedlung, which had been occupied by ss personnel. the doc was left behind in a dictionary when the ss left or were removed. my mom and dad were relocated there for a time after the war, after which i came along.
i can probably find out more info from another person who was there if it is pertinent.

O.k., folks here it is!
I am posting moosie's document here. I wanted to do it sooner but had major computer malfunctions
So here it is, and it looks very nice to me. But, as I told moosie, we better let the experts handle this one.
So, feast your eyes, and let moosie know what you all think;
