Guarding a Minesweeper

Just got this one too. Here we have a Matrosengefreiter guarding a minesweeper. by comparing the ship to the guard and the guys aboard it really looks like it is a pretty small craft.

The guy in the background wears a Minesweeper badge. There are six helmets at the ready on the ship's exterior too.

The thing I like is the emblem with the acorns. Any chance at all this emblem is associated with the 18th minesweeper flotilla?

I've searched like a madman and can't find anything.
