I recently picked up a grouping of 35 photos taken by an unidentified American G.I. Among the photos were these of his unit posing with a Panther tank and an 8.8 Cm gun:

I don't know when or where these photos were taken, as none of the ones I posted are identified. There is one photo in the grouping however of two G.I.'s that is marked "Naples, Italy," and one individual photo has a May 1945 date. Anyway, I think I did pretty good - all 35 photos only cost me 7.95. They were not described very well on Ebay, and were put in an obscure photo category.

Italy is quite right. The Panther is the ausf.D type, easily distinguished by the letter box type opening of the radio operators machinegun port.
The unidentified piece of equipment is a Würzburg radar for flak direction.
