Warning ! The ebay russian archive photos are fakes

I have already spent far too much of my time on this issue ...I feel I have only just scratched the surface.. but now have a growing list of traders selling this rubbish . Unfortunately ,for me its so easy to find them , but its just too time consuming ,because the world of ebay is a damned big place ...if anyone else on here has time on their hands and feels as strongly as I do....feel free to start sniffing and report back with who you find .

I'm awaiting the further response of both Police and ebay ... of course initially both were saying nothing to do with us governor ....but that's total nonsense , fraudulent trading is a serious crime and the authorities must take action .
Personally I feel ebay should take full responsibility and be held accountable ..100% refunds to all those who have been cheated .
It should not have be down to unpaid individuals to do ebays dirty work.
I have started alerting buyers of this dross to the fraud ...I want to stir things up so much that ebay have to take notice.
Please , if you have time , come on board this campaign ...the more people that hunt the criminal traders ( its easy if you have some experience ) , notify buyers of fake purchase ( via sellers feedback ) and complain to ebay ...the more likely it is that ebay will become a safer place for photo collectors to buy from .
Now is the time ...I'm still angry and motivated but need as much assistance as possible . I cannot do this alone .

We here come from many nations ... many of us are members on different forums .... if you feel strongly enough about this issue , please post similar warnings against the dishonest ebay sellers of fake tea stained "Russian archive photos" on as many forums as possible .
Its a worldwide scam ...possibly involving organised crime ...we are all individuals living miles apart , sitting at our pcs and laptops ... but we can combine as one voice ... its one of the things that makes this forum site so special .

Can we form a Band of Brothers to take on this menace ? ( said in my finest Shakespearean voice ) .

a new word for the dictionary ... teastainification ..a word to describe a cheaters crude process to age something .

Rick , you had me really worried for a moment ...I thought you were admitting to being a naughty teastainificator ( made up word for fraudster )...
Rick , if you look throughout the forum ,I have been plastering my images with much more writing than yourself ( I think I will pinch your photo for my archive ) ...feel free to look up Tirpitz photo album thread in kriegsmarine section of the forum.

I'm personally fast beginning to lose confidence the whole ebay militaria experience .

I understand your frustration. Many here came to your same conclusion above years ago. In that regard you are late to get off the bus. I do admire your determination to tackle the issue at hand, but fear you may be about to waste a bunch of time, emotion, and energy "pissing in the ocean" as they say. For everyone you take down, they will simply be back under a new name and selling again. While eBay likes to speak highyl of its own buyer protectio protocol, the truth is that the network has grown so large that solid enforcement is all but impossible and prohibitively expensive. Basically it has become the wild west frontier.

I am not trying to minimize your right to be angry, you certainly have good reason to be. Personally however, I would strive to support my collecting in venues other than eBay and not give all these faker clowns free rent inside my head.

We have something in common already ...I also have a son named Wesley !
I have sat back and watched people get ripped off for a couple of years in respect of these crap images .
However , it is now affecting me personally because they are copying my images and selling them in the teastainified form .
Unfortunately , I'm cursed with too much testosterone for my own good ...although ageing , I'm still an active and aggressive sportsman ..I will fight this ...and damned hard .
I'm fully aware I will have a greater chance of achieving somekind of victory if part of a team ...rather a one man band .
The tea stained photos are easy to spot ...the traders are sitting ducks waiting to be blown out of the water ....
Come on Wesleys dad ....pick up your metaphorical rifle and join me on a hunting trip.

Wesleys dad ...you are also slightly missing the point .. this is criminal behavior ,they are selling fakes as originals ..it is therefore fraud , a serious crime in Britain and no doubt elsewhere ..unsuspecting individuals are losing good money .
If these cheating freaks start receiving hefty fines and prison sentances for their crimes , slowly but surely word will get out and it will not be such an attractive option for earning easy money .

Wesley is a long standing name in my family... With respect to the point, I wouldn't say I am missing it. It is that I have already been through all that line of thinking. You are absolutely correct, it is criminal. As bad and as rampant as it is, it can hardly muster more attention than the number of speeders on the interstate. If some of the cats you wish to make trouble for have brokers in the USA or UK etc then you might stand a chance with those specifically. I think best case though, you will likely only be able to end the brokers activities and not the seller. The police in some country in eastern Europe will not care.

Hello Michael , I agree with everything you are saying ....but .
just had another hour long call with ebay ..they called me this time .
I could sense the chaps frustration on the other end of the phone ...I imagine I was meant to have given up after 5 minutes . In regard to this issue they are a complete nonsense . Well I just kept banging my head against the wall and cracks are definately appearing in the plasterwork .
Bottom line is initially they say they dont want to know, its not their problem ...but as I told the chap that's just not good enough ....issue escalated further ..I want to speak with a director . Ebay as a platform for fraudsters does not sound good . I would quite happily pass it over to them to deal with themselves .

I just joined this sight today,and so far have had nothing but bad news.I have bought numberous photos off of ebay thinking they were original.Many from NLEVENTAL and another fellow who goes by KIEV1943.Most were between 10 and 20 dollars but a few were near 50.I feel like a total idiot now,I`m new to collecting and just learning.How do you know if a photo is legit? I like the style of these photos and am sad that they are all fakes.Can you suggest a good seller to purchase from? Thanks,Gary

Sorry to be the messenger who has alerted you to this Fraud ...You are not an idiot , you were merely trusting ..afterall , these traders of crap do have 100% positive feedback ( fraudulent bidding syndicates involved to pump up feedback and give
I personally have learnt my most valuable lessons in life through making mistakes . The only idiots are those that are producing this dross ...the images you have bought are likely to have been very low resolution images and covered in tea stains ...they bare little resemblance to the original photographs ( some of which I own ) .
Please report this seller to ebay ...they will only take action if many voices are heard ....and demand your money back ...you have been a victim of criminal activity .
I will take this opportunity to repeat ebayer.. nlevental .. is a seller of fake photos ,produced from stolen images ....his current fallschirmjager photos and U-boat images are my property ..they are very low resolution images stolen from the web .
I personally believe there are very many ebayers who are selling poor quality fakes as originals ....they are meant to be from "Russian" or " KGB " archives ...this is a lie . Buyer beware .
