RARE photo Luftwaffe Rocket Engineers Brandis Polenz

I visited a local flea market last weekend and had some great luck.
I found a photo album with some documents and papers from a luftwaffe man.
The man worked from 1939-1945 in a small secret luftwaffe airbase called Brandis Polenz airbase.
This small airbase was located east of Leipzig in eastern Germany and because of its relatively safe distance from the English and Americans, it was a ideal location for testing new rocket and jet technology.
Also the airbase war only 2 hours drive from the construction and building bunkers in Nordhausen, where many of the later war rocket parts were assembled.

    So enough of the history.
I had time to scan the first big photo from this new album today.
It shows many of the luftwaffe officers in charge of the rocket and jet testing base.
It is incredible rare to see all these specialist engineers for luftwaffe rocket jet research all together.
A real delight for the luftwaffe collectors.

So I hope you enjoy this beautiful photo as much as me !

    Greetings from Leipzig.
    Ian

That is a terrific pic. It is also the most LW civilian Feuerwehr visors I have ever seen in one place--the risk of fire was definately not taken lightly.
