Dear All,

Are there any award documents given to Dutch (WSS) Volunteers??

I want to show you some of mine.

Here is a driving license given to Dutch Legionair, with a nice autograph of Otto Reich.

This person, Klompers made quite a career, also fought in the Landstorm, see for example Vincx and Schotanius Deel 1 (De Landstorm) page 169.

Very interesting. My uncle, Max-Adolf Lorenzen, was a Hauptscharfuehrer in the Niederlande regiment, and was KIA on the northern front in 1944.

Hallo Rene

I am sure you have seen that the signature on the Legion Stabkompanie document is from Legions-Hauptsturmführer Quintus de Veer, the later commander of II./SS-Artillerie Regiment 54/23.

The other one is signed by stubaf Max Dallinger, aa you have probably seen.

it is somewhat more difficult because of the relative unclarity of the signature, but as it is signed Obstubaf and Kommandeur it is Josef Fitzthum, the commander of the SSFrw Legion Ndl , after july 1942, later commander of SS FrwPzGr Rgt 48, before going to Albania as Himmler representative. His final rank was SS-Gruppenführer und Generalleutnant der Waffen-SS.
