Can any one tell me anything about Oberleutnant Petter Franz, the first picture is dated on the back as 'Ostfront 1942'.

    Kind regards,

    Marcus

I noticed that ring too, I think it's an EK2 but thought it looked big for a EK ?

Although there are the RK sized EK's, why also would they have a RK ribbon which looks new going by the by the folds in it?

            Kind regards,

            Marcus

Marcus, I do believe that I've seen that photo before but I'm not sure. I've seen plenty of pictures of him but can't find any at the moment.

                Best regards/ Daniel

Marcus, good images. Although they are recent reproduction, most of these motifs are very nice (even if the printing quality is not top) and often worth to own if cheaply purchased. A few years ago I bought a few from a fellow forum member paying US$8 per image (I asked him to search for certain motifs from russian archives), but these days a lot of these reproduced images appear on ebay - it looks like they are systematically printed and sold to make money. There are at least two well known paper edge patterns, one of them is shown in yours.

                    Thank you Akira,

I paid 5 euro's each for a few of these in Germany, oh well at least we can make others aware of these fake pictures.

What ever don't they fake !

                    Kind regards,

                    Marcus
