    demjansk citations

    Hello,

There seems to be not much of a response towards these citations, wel to get the ball rolling im posting my only Demjanskschield citation, this citation is towards a Uffz. who was to see in action in Belgium, FRance ( 1940 ) then towards Russia 1941 - 1944 and then he was in action in Germany ( battle of Huertgenwald ) then the ardennes offensive ( Belgium ) and the was finally captured in the Ruhrkessel, he survived the war without a single scratch !!!!!!

    Greetings,

      Demjanskschild

      Dear David,

Here is an image of a variant of the diploma for the Demjanskschild.

On the other hand, I did not receive an answer to my messages of March 19 and 26. These messages were relative to the Wehrpass Demjansk. Prayer to take contact with me, thank you.

Here is a Demjanskshild document to a Staff officer in 290 Infantry Division.
He was also awarded the Ostmedaille, EK1 and Infantry Assault badge.

Here is the citation pictured above, but reduced to a more manageable size.

            Demjanskschild Award Document

In researching my own example of this award, I thought I would revive David Stijn's earlier thread by posting mine here.

This citation came in various designs with the SS having a special version for members of the 3 SS-Panzer Division "Totenkopf" - of which this example is one.

            Regards,

            John

              Ss citation

Does this Totenkopf Demjansk Citation look original, resembles the previous one but slightly off set.

As far as the bad scan can tell I would say original.

                      Citation

What concerns me is the ink looks too blue not purple, could be an old photo
copy, with not in hand to check paper difficult to tell, print does not look as sharp
                      as the others.
