Heeres-Beamter Bibliotheksrat (Pay Group A2c2, seniority 1 February 1935) Rudolf Buss was the Number Two Guy at the Heeresbücherei in Berlin, May 1939.

He was born 29 September 1877, so this would have been his normal retirement age, right on schedule, war or no war:

when the due date's stamped, that's when it's due!

Signature squiggles escape me.
