This is a novel and is very common. Examples of the 1934 printing (it went through several printings) can be had for well under $10 USD.

David Dickinson of BBC's Bargain Hunt would call it "cheap as Chips."

      Thanks for showing your example.

Careful, Gerdan, the OP'll roll his eyes at you.

I think what the OP's after is a synopsis of the novel rather than how common, ergo, inexpensive it is.

I'm sorry, Ramon, Gerdan, and Forum, for that, I thought that I had clearly asked "what the book is about", and now looking at what I wrote, I see that I was not clear on what I needed.
Sorry for my responce, it was not justified, and I apoligize.

                what is OP?

Diederich verlag was a well known right wing publisher. They were churning out piles of books pre-nazi era-and beyond, in some small part helping the climate to be amenable to a group such as NSDAP.
The title and symbol imply to me that the book is probably about the "heroic" work of freikorp paramilitaries and their supporters struggling for the vision that became the Third Reich. Or it is a historical romance of an ancient vigilante "terrorist" type group.
                      That's my best guess.

nice thank you very much, Michael Fay.
Either way it sounds interesting. If it was in more legible text i'd be able to read it a bit...

I only see the one cover photo and WAF member Gerdan stated it was Diederichs verlag on his post to you.
I have academically researched books on such publishers, especially Diederich Verlag.

                            But for content:
I just guess from my own experience with books.
I notice the rune and the title.

The rune is typical for either the Freikorp/ older vigilante(wolfs cross/wolfs hook rune) or a kind of memorial for fallen martyrs or of loyalty like Hess rune tab(opfer rune)--or some other danged variant of this type of rune.
Off hand i guess the Freikorp/ older vigilante.

Of course, I could be totally wrong....but I doubt it.

by the way, relooking at Gerdan's info the book is stated as being in the "roman" genre ( fiction/novel) so probably older vigilante group story.
