Reproductions??

Hi
Have come across two pictures that do not feel correct to me(I am a novice here)

Both have a gloss type finish and the first picture appears to me to be very white on thwe border(hope this makes sense)

Any thoughts

I see no problems with these two pictures? A Glossy finish is somewhat rare, but such pictures can be accepted as genuine nontheless. Writing on the reverse looks good, and the motives of both pictures are not worth reproducing (i.e., not lucrative enough for selling)
