Want to buy such photo. As I understand this is SS. Can someone tell me from which division this guy is? Totenkopf??? And also want to ask about price: seller want 40 Euro for this photo - is this a normal price or it is expensive?

it looks like private in the totenkopf - as for the price it's worth it if you are prepared to pay for it - on many auction sites SS portrait pictures are being offered at 40-45 euros.
Personally I can think of other collectables I would spend 40 Euros on - like original postcards - i've just bought this one

Hi,

Well for the price, if it is worth €40,- for you, then its a good price, if not then not. Some will not pay more than €20 others maybe €60 for the same picture.

My problem is the following. If you have to ask if this is SS and Totenkopf, my guess is that you knowledge on SS, Third Reich and maybe even WWII is low.

So my advice is not to buy this picture, but buy for €40,- books about SS, TR or whatever and first get more knowledge. If you have more knowledge about where SS, TR, Totenkopf stands for, I may be easier to judge if €40 is a good price and you will also know what you buy.

here in Germany you would have a hard time getting Euro 40 for this photo. He wears no decorations and there is nothing spectacular about it. There are much better photos and I would personally not pay much more than Euro 20 for this one if that much. Good hunting!
