        They could be 'liberated' hats or perhaps the left one is from the colonial or ww1 period whan Germans in Africa were issued this style of hat.

          I am thinking that these are liberated hats somewhere in North Africa, but I was hoping that someone might be able to identify the hats as ANZAC or as whatever they are. Cheers, Torsten.

            Interesting that the left edge of the hat is turned up and not the right. They turned up the hat edge so it didn't interfere when shooting a rifle. The former owner must have been a leftie, or he has the hat on backwards. Ammersee
