German camera question

Hello guys , i am not sure if this is the right place to post this thread but ill give it a shot , i have never seen a ziess camera with adolf hitler in the decal of the camera door. why would his name be on the camera and is this one rare , i bought this camera from the vet who liberated it in germany during the war

It is the address of the camera supplier: Fotohaus Schloettgen, their address was 41 Adolf Hitler Street in the town of Remscheid.

Most German towns had streets or squares named after Hitler and other Nazi leaders during the Third Reich, which were promptly de-nazified after the war.

Your camera is a Zeiss Ikon "Bob" made between 1936-41. It is basically a poor man's version of the more refined Nettar model. Sorry, but it's not rare or worth much - maybe $50 from what I can see of its condition.

An added thought. If the camera is working properly, and there are no pinholes or cracks in the leather bellows, because of that address and the high quality of those decals, you should be able to get at least $75 to $100 for this camera.
