    SS - who signed this early important card?

    Top rare and very early signed card by a SS-Scharführer on 15. March 1938 from Vienna (Wien)! He was one of the first soldiers of ss by the occupation of austria from 13.March 1939!
    Member of the 6.SS Standarte Sturm 1 - Berlin
    I only can read ....dinger. Hammerdinger? Who is the man?thanks ralf

    To be honest, I think you are getting excited over next to nothing. It's a common card sent by an unknown Allgemeine-SS-Scharführer Hammerdinger to his colleagues in the 6. SS-Standarte in Berlin. Probably a tourist visiting Wien following the Anschluss. (Thousands of Germans did.) I can't see what you think is rare about it, unless you know something we don't! Sorry to put a dampener on your excitement. Hope there's more to it.

      I am not sure if this is same Hammerdinger but someone named that acted as a chauffeur to Eicke and drove him and Michel Lippert to Stadelheim on 1.7.1934.
