    Sign photo of erns barkman??

    HEY GUYS! I WONDER IF SOME CAN SEE IF THERE ARE A REAL AUTOGHRAF OR NOT, I HAVENT THE PHOTO HERE,I WILL LAY IN SOME PICS. BARKMAN GOT HIS RK 1944 21 OR 23 JULY. HE FOUGHT UNDER WITTMAN. SO MY QUESTION IF ITS A REAL AUTOG. HOW MUCH DO GUYS THIN?????

    Hi Magnus,

    Ernst Barkmann of SS-Pz.Regt. 2 was never associated with Michael Wittmann that I know of, but he must have signed thousands of photos post-war, so it should be relatively easy to see if the autograph you have looks like examples of his.

      he may have known him but they were in entirely diff regiments....goodlooking chap was barkmann....anyone have a later pic of him?.....k

              The signature on the photo in that thread looks like the ones I have seen and 3-4 signed Ernst Barkmann photos I have owned. I'm certainly no handwriting expert but he signed so many I wouldn't have any reason to think this wasn't his signature. All post-war, of course; I think it would be highly unlikely that's an actual war time photo with war time signature.

              My 2 cents.

                I have seen some wartime sigantures of him, and they are totally different than the usual postwar ones.
