    U-Boat Captains RK collector cards

    Hi All
I need help with these and appreciate anyones thoughts? I have twenty post/collector type cards all of U-Boat captains with a little history of their exploits on the reverse. I am told they are quite rare and desirable. They are all mostly well known RK winners from early in the war. They are in great shape.

Some of the names we are looking at are
Rollmann,Petersen,Zurn, Kretschmer, Gysae, Schnee, Korth, Mengeren, Frauenheim, Kraus, Mutzelburg, Lehmann-Willenbrock, Topp, Tiesenhausen, Rosins, Suhren, Schepke, Metzler, Endrass, Bleichrodt. They all have the fascimille of their autograph on the front

    Thank you
    Steve Mezey

      reverse

the reverses are not the same cards as the ones posted with pictures if you notice they do not match just a differnt card turned to the reverse.

        Hi Steve,

I have the Rollmann card, but the reverse is just a plain postcard. It came with a large collection of older Kriegsmarine material.

Thanks, Anyone else have any thoughts on these and their value? Has anyone else seen these types of cards on dealers sites?

          Thanks

            Steve

I picked up an example of the Joachim Schepke card you listed on e-bay many years ago (with career details printed on reverse), for which I paid a similar price to that of a period Hoffmann or Rohr postcard.

I do see these on occasion, although not as frequently as the Hoffmann cards and they are usually snapped up very quickly.

I remember reading somewhere that these cards were connected to the U-Boat ship yard constructors, whether this is true or not, I cannot say.

            Regards Richard.
Always looking for Luftwaffe Kampfflieger related document groups. In particular anything to Kampfgeschwader 2.
