                Thanks Bryant. I started out as a photo collector waay back. Have a number of Gebirgs photo which I will get around to posting.

                  Gebirgsjäger uniform items, equipment and photos have become my primary collecting interest.

                  I always enjoy studying photos and learning more about these tough mountain soldiers.

                    Interesting area of study Bryant. I have a GJR 100 album with lots of those types of gear and equipment photos. Will have to dig it out and scan it.

                              Bryant I would say it is. The jacket appears to be made of the olive green worn in the Med. His cap a much lighter tan color. The Edelwiess also has the dark green cloth backing. My guess he probably served with Gebirgs Div. 1
