A Gasthaus is a German-style inn or tavern with a bar, a restaurant, banquet facilities and hotel rooms for rent.

Can you make a close-up scan of the sign? Königsbacher Bräu is a brewery in Koblenz, in the Rhineland-Palatinate state of Germany. So I would think that the location is somewhere in that area, since beers are very regional. Perhaps these Gebirgsjägers are on their way north for the invasion of Norway...or heading west for the invasion of France.

Here's a Gebirgsjager band indoing a concert or perhaps just practicing. Not sure of the location. Was a Gasthaus basically a pub?
