Here's my latest Gebirgsjager portrait. Was this man a private or something a little higher?

              Servus Bergkamerad,

He's just a good ol' Jäger as far as I can tell. Doesn't seem to have any stripes on the left sleeve. Love the civilian shirt underneath the tunic.

              Berg Heil,

Here is my small contribution to the thread, something more rare:

                - Romanian Volunteers Gebirgsjagers, from the Blundenz School.

The railroad ID for one of them, and another foto of him wearing the GJ uniform with Romanian awards.

                    Willi Pongratz 1

Here's the first of two portraits of Willi Pongratz. He was an Obergefreiter in a Gebirgsjager Pioneer Battalion. On February 6, 1942, Willi made the supreme sacrifice for the Fatherland.

                          Gebirgsjager Obergefreiter

Here's an Obergefreiter. I think you can just see his edelweiss on the left side of his cap.

                              Servus StuGIII,

Great portraits of Willi. Really like the civilian shirts and the different mountings of the Edelweiss on his Bergmützen.
