                      Hey Jim,

Super photos...you always seem to find a huge amount of Gebirgsjaeger photos. Here is a photo I found at Ciney on Sunday. A Gebj wearing a FJ Badge...he must have jumped into Norway.

Jeff, the Waffenfarbe would be pink. Bill, I have had these photos for ages and they are in a massive Gebirgspanzerjäger album I picked up at the Multihalle a number of years ago- I can show you in November before Flonheim if you want!

Bill, I must admit, you don't see too many GJ with a Fallschirmjäger badge!

                            Jim,

You have had so many groupings and albums over the years it's hard to keep track of them...even though I get to view most of them when I visit the Bunker.

Oh! by the way I looked closer with a lupe at the Gebj with the FJ Badge and it is in fact a Heeresspringerabz...which is even more scarce. I paid 4 Euros for it at Ciney.

                            Bill

Bill, Euro 4!! You sure paid a lot for it! It was logical that it almost had to be a Heeresspringer badge however as the GJ uniform is early.

The GJ that jumped into Narvik, Bardufoss and Tromsø received the LW badge. If it's LW and as you can see no Narvikschild then unless the photo was taken during the second half of 1940 we're looking at a member of GJR 136 who jumped at Tromsø or Bardufoss.
If it really is a Heer badge then perhaps he's a brandenburger?
