Hi!
I am collecting Kriegsmarine photos for 10 years now and have about 400 pics, mainly of the field grey (land based) units and over 500 "commob" pics of infantry, arty etc.
Here some samples:
Pic is dated 1935, Guard at Stralsund harbour
Nice portrait, I like the rimless glasses.
Pic is dated 1944, taken in Cherbourg. Collar tabs are missing?
Pic is dated Februar 1945, Glückstadt. No eagle, pic is not altered.
Strange combo of soldiers. They are wearing Navy Bordmützen, but the uniforms are something uncommon. No collar tabs, the right man wears a leather trousers belt, not Koppel. And he was awarded a medal unknown to me. I think it is no KVK II.
Maybe anyone has an idea? Maybe Werftfeuerwehr?Last edited by hoover; 04-08-2010, 04:17 PM.
