Horyioshi, concerning #46: I believe this to be a post-war, staged photograph. For a start, the gloves the soldiers are wearing appear to be post-war Bundeswehr.

Just my opinion though.

MG-34 practice

Here's a shot of soldiers with an MG-34. It would appear that they're conducting a training exercise.

MG-34 in France

Here's an MG-34 in France. According to the back, it was taken in June of 1940. I think the gunners look funny. They seem to have Mohawk haircuts. I know they don't have Mohawks, it's probably just how the wind was blowing their hair. Still, they look like they're ahead of their time with punk hairdos.
