Hi Gary,

that´s what I thought too (stamp of hospital and later on Verwundetenabz. Silver) but are you 100 % sure? It doesn´t look like ´Verwundeten´writing to me.

Yes Gary is correct,

It is written:

Verwunde
tenabzeichen
Schwarz

Then obviously Inf.Assault Badge, EK II and Wound in Silver.
