Gigantenschütz ? A question for Stijn

    Hi,

I just get nice logbooks from an Uffz. of the 9./III./ZG 26.
I found this line for the 07.07.43; a Bf-110's flight of
85 minutes between Venafiorita and Ciampino.
Is the mention Gigantenschütz means that he was guarding
    Me 323 ?

    Thank you in advance.

    Jean-Yves

    Gigantenschutz

    Hello JYN,

Excellent flight log (that is the least i can say at this moment ) with a very nice entry !!!!!!

The entry "gigantenschutz" does indeed mention that they where assigned to guard the so called Gigant. unclear however stays if it was a (1) Glider Gigant (Me321) or a (2) Motorgigant (Me 323).

The most probable however would be indeed the Me 323 !!!

Feel free to show more when possible

    Cordial greetings,

      Dear David,

Thank you for your prompt reply. I am sure that when somebody is
pronouncing the word Giganten... you are not so far.

I will try to send you more but there are no many entries like this one.
