"Kabine" : I have seen this term (in German) used almost exclusively with airplanes.
If it would refer to a bespanntes Fahrzeug, it should have been build like a stage coach,
which I don't think I have seen on the eastern front (but, who knows ...).
Could it perhaps refer to the cabin roof ?

as entry 4 reads "wurden durch 4 Loggs 5 angegriffen = we were attacked by four Loggs 5" it´s sure that you variant a) is correct. We can also see that the writer did correct the spelling of"Lock" into "Logg" as he didn´t know what´s correct.

Is it possible that he meant the Lockheed Hudson Model V.

Seems that the writer was a pilot, that would explain the lost cabine.

Regarding the correction of Lack into Logg/Lagg :
I didn't know that plane. Interesting possibility !

But I would also consider the possibility, that the writer was simply not very good/precise in writing/grammar :
In entry #3, it looks to me that he corrected Lak's 5 into Lagg's 5. (But the " 's" is not correct, if it is variant a) ).
I think, it could also be this plane (LaG-5) :

1.) Rank : I think it is : Hilfszollsekretär,
but a confirmation would be nice.

2.) What is written on the EKM ? I have no ideas ...
The unit that issued the SB is a Zollgrenzschutz-Btl., if that helps.

Thank you, so as I suspected nothing to do with the photograph it's been applied to.
I bought the photo thinking that rather than being of a WSS man it may be of a WWII era British soldier involved in recognition training, the alternative being that it's of a re-enactor.
