            Hoping someone can make sense of this. I can make out words here and there but overall a bit lost on this one. Particularly interested in the 1929 Polizei & 1939-1945 section if possible.

                          Der Soldatenfreund 1937 ( Translate Please )

                          Hi All,

                          I have this nice Soldiers Diary from 1937 and would like to have some help in translation on a couple of pages relating to this soldier.
                          I believe his name is something like Ernst ?ark and would appreciate information on if any unit belonging to and what else can be made out from the other details.
                          Also looks like he has written something on the Fuhrer's Birthday April 20th.

                          Not standard but looks like he applied a helmet decal shield in front of the diary, nice personal touch.

                          Many thanks in advance for looking and your help.
