Let's see if I can condense a bit...
San Uffz Knappe, formerly of 10. / A.R. 150, distinguished himself in action in Russia, resulting in his being nominated for the Spange to the EK2. Due to the deactivation of the 10. Battery and his reassignment to the Lazarett, it's the duty of the Regiment to notify you so as to present him with the highly-deserved decoration.

In all of his actions Knappe remained cool to the benefit of the whole battery crew. Especially impressive was his action on 24 Oct 41, when he spent his full time in the main battle area (little unsure of the wording on this part). Exactly during this time russian bombers (aircraft) attacked, which in addition to several dead left many badly 17 wounded. Despite great danger, Knappe personally carried the badly wounded off the field of battle to safety. When the bombers returned, Knappe didn't let it bother him a bit. He was a shining example to his comrades. His personal actions and bravery were the reason multiple soldiers were able to survive the attacks.

He performed roughly the same actions on 25 and 26 Oct.

His personal actions can be even more highly esteemed, as he has already been awarded the EK2 in WW1.

The regiment requests the new unit to award the EK2 to Knappe.

                                (p. 2)
If it's not possible to award at his current unit, the regiment will advise the division to carry out the ceremony.

That's more or less it; might have missed a word or action, but basically that's pretty close. Hope it helps.

Unless it was nighttime, or the weather was bad, and you were running out of gas - then it was a sweaty nightmare, like a monkey f*ing a skunk.
