                      That is fantastic! Could you read the rest of the text?

                      It seems that the man on the photo wears a PLM... That said, the only Graf zu Dohna to win it was Nikolaus Burggraf und Graf zu Dohna-Schlodien and he was in the navy...

                      ON SECOND LOOK, it is not a PLM, but the Rechtsritter grade of the Johanniterorden...

                      Perhaps that will provide some clue to his identity...

                                It is very bureaucratic saying the holder(of the Soldbuch) has received war pay according to paragraph 1 2 3 of regulation X Y Z. I do not know all of the abbreviations but it is pure bureaucrat language.
