                          Thank you Hank.

That's one of the more touching things I've read on the back of my photos.

                            Hello gents,
I am trying to write a short biography of a Fallschirmjaeger from his Wehrpass for a friend of mine. The document with its translation will be then displayed in a local museum here in Italy:
                            http://www.museogotica.it/

I have some problems to read the following phrase in Suetterlin.
It ends somehow like "im bereichs der Luftflotte 3." The guy was at that time with the Flieger Regiment 63 (based in France) so it makes sense. But I really cannot understand what reads on the first 3 lines
After his stay in France this paratrooper saw action on the italian front with the 4FJD.

                              Working on it...

Luftverteidigung der Kuste, Kuste nahe Kur(?)gebiet und das Hinterlandes im Bereich der Luftflotte 3

Air defence on the coast, the coast near the vacation area, and the inner lands in the area of Luftflotte 3

Can't quite make out that first word on the 2nd line.... but it could be Kuste (Coast) twice (end of first line, beginning 2nd line).

                              best
