Gerdan, it's hard to tell from this picture, but judging by the grass in the front, I think it's a very small model...not a decoy. But without more pictures, hard to say.

the grass could also be straw to be used for fires to simulate that the "target" was hit by the bombs. They often used such flammable material for such decys.

But it could also be a model (for a decoy?).

The letter is an invitation for a family to attend a ceremony in honor of their son and those who have died in the war. The next item is a booklet for business trainees and several pages of activity reports and what the person has learned so far. Not exciting reading!

Hello! What does Sperrstelle word mean? I am currently research barrage balloons unit photo album and Sperrstelle is encountering there in captions very often (Sperrstelle 9, Sperrstelle 14, etc.)

I found something interesting which might be the key to “Sperrstelle”.

Horst-Adalbert Koch: Die Geschichte der deutschen Flakartillerie und der Einsatz der Luftwaffenhelfer. Bad Nauheim 1965, S. 60:

„Bei Bad Saarow liefen in Anlehnung an entsprechende Versuche im Ersten Weltkrieg Erprobungen von Drahtsperren, die von Ballonen oder Drachen getragen wurden. Die Sperrstellen wurden dabei in Abständen von 300 – 400 Metern ...“

“Following the experiences of the First World War, there were corresponding tests near Bad Saarow [where the Luftsperrersatzabteilung 1 was located] with wire entanglements, which were carried by balloons or kites. These Sperrstellen were at a distance of 300 to 400 meters ...”

Thus we can assume Sperrstellen are the places where the balloons or kites were fixed.
