Hi Pieter, very nice photos. Do you have any information at all that could assist his identification?

I've looked through my photo archive of tank destruction badge holders and I can't find anyone who resembles this man. New names come up all the time, even of knight's cross holders who recieved this badge. This person must definately be one of more unknown knight's cross holders, atleast that's what I think (I might be wrong). It's interesting to note that he hasn't been awarded with the German cross. His name might be in my database, but it would be hard to find without further information. His rank is typical for a tank destruction badge holder.

        Best regards/ Daniel

When a few very good RK-Träger identifiers with us on board, a poor speculation might be unwelcomed; still I'd hazard a guess... I see "278"... An Infanterie-Oberleutnant... Probably in 1944... Then how about Friedrich Fischer, Führer 6./Gren.Rgt. 278, RK on April 7th, 1944 as Leutnant.

Fischer was awarded with the knight's cross on the 7th of April 1944 so it can't be him considering the date of the photo. The only one in GrenRegt 278 who recieved it prior to January 1944 was Otto Frank but he recieved it as a Major, commanding the I Bat.
