KVK 1st Class with Goering Sig.

    Hi

I have just won this and it was advertised in the auction as a Goering signature, I think it is a facsimile being Goering would not sign something as trivial. I have also never seen the title "revier " gruppenfuhrer?? If this transleates in my weird german correctly revier means a region.

    Thanks
    Dion

I think that guy was a policeman and "Revier" is his beat or district in which he was "Gruppenführer" - section or district commander.

The Goering signature is a facsimilie, with the document being signed by Bruno Loerzer.

How are the ranks designated in the forestry service and was there a Gruppenfüherer rank in that service? Revier can also refer to a hunting ground and Goering was the top hunting official for the Reich. Here is a link to books that use the word Revier in the context of a hunting area.

I think your man might be a member of the Luftschutz which included the rank of Gruppenführer and the term Revier would fit in the context of that organisation.
