    LW officer PC pix translation

Can someone help me with the translation on the reverse of this PC photo? Perhaps the officer can be ID'ed. I have another photo of the same person from March 1943.

Great portrait, could we see the other one? Looks like he might be wearing a WW1 Naval Aviator's Badge.

Yes, he's wearing some type of WW1 aviator's badge.

The 2nd photo doesn't show this badge though. However by March 1943 he's been promoted and except for EK2, doesn't seem to have received any more combat or qualification badges so I assume he was in an administrative or training role during he war.

Allow me to remark that the buttonhole ribbon is actually for the KVK2. (His Iron Cross 2nd and 1st Class are from WWI.)
