    Nürnberg Pictures

    Hello

Recently i got a lot of pictures that were part of a Konvolut.
There are 24 pictures of Nürnberg and scale models of building.

They look like something for a collecting album or some sort.
    Does anyone have more information?

    Best regards

    stijn

      Hi,

These were probably part of a souvenir postcard book like this one, although the cards in this book are printed as postcards and perforated so they can be removed and actually used.

All the buildings shown were in the Party Day rally grounds on the southeast edge of the city. You have several views of the Luitpoldhalle where the Party "congresses" were held and the Luitpold Arena field beside it, and one view (top of post 2) of the Zeppelintribüne ("Zeppelin Field"). The model is a representation of what the new Kongreßhalle was supposed to be. It was started but never fully finished; but it's still there today.

      Best,
      Greg

              Hi Stijn,

With the backs marked like that, I would agree with you that it looks like they were meant to be collected for an album. I haven't seen that set, but maybe one of the more knowledgeable people here will chime in.

              Best,
              Greg
