German trucks and soldiers on a photo?

Are these German vehicles and soldiers(1939-1945)?
In the right corner you can see some soldiers.

    Thanks in advance!

It seems they are, the lorry in the middle is an Opel Blitz with WH plates.

Maybe it's just me, but the picture is looking a little bit strange. The mountains and vehicles are looking a little bit "transparent"...

    Cheers, Giorgos

It's not just you - I was thinking "ghost Wehrmacht" from winters' past.

I wonder if it is two photos accidentally combined on film.

That's what I was thinking, too. There's also that bridge, "showing through" the vehicles. Has anyone seen something like that before? How could that be technically done in the 40's?

            Hello,

If Im not wrong this is a quite common error which could occur on photos back then if you developed the film in the wrong way.

I am pretty sure that this is what they call a double exposure, when the film is not advanced, I believe that this would be a manual task, before a second photos is taken.

Yes it looks like a classic doubble exosuer.

Impossiable to say how or why but most likly they guy rewound the film on date x took it out and then reused it some time later.

I am only guessing but a good one as one photo is mountians and the other a plain someplace.

done this myself once or twice if one does not reroll the film all the way back into the canister.
