A report from the "Standortälteste" (Dept.III), at this time headed by SS-Hstuf Hans Aumeier, sent to Dept.II-Politische Abteilung (camp Gestapo), at this time headed by SS-Ustuf and Kriminalsekretar Max Grabner. This report details the number of prisoner deaths that occurred in Sept 1942.

Part of the duties of the Politische Abteilung was to keep a record of all prisoner deaths (the Death Book).

Death report of Otto Muller. He would have been one of those referred to in the above "statistics,"
under "unnaturliche Todesursache" (unnatural cause of death).

Note cause of death listed as "Fluchtversuch" (escape attempt).

          Political Prisoner Eduard Silberg.

Cause of death, "Freitod durch Erhängen" (suicide by hanging).

As Silberg was a political prisoner, this report is copied to the Politische Abt. in order for them to inform the relevant Gestapo or Kripo office that had issued the original orders for his "protective/preventive arrest" of his fate, in this case Hamburg.

The Doctor signing as Lagerarzt has yet to be identified.
