Yesterday I got a wonderfull photoalbum from a former member of the 5th Kompanie, SS Inf. Regt. Nordland.
In the album, there are some nice photos taken at the front, during an attack.
The text on the back says "Mius"!

Outstanding AJ. In photo #2, is the long shaft on the left side of the troop, is that the wooden handle of the grenade? I'm with Paddywhack, more photos please!

That is a wooden handle but not for a grenade but rather an entrenching tool, and most likely the folding variety.
