Help! how do you remove stickers from paper?

Hi all!
Don't know if anyone can help me with this but does anyone know a good method of removing stickers off paper/card without damaging the paper/card underneath?

I've just got a job lot of WW2 postcards that have been denazified at some point in their lives and all the 'naughty' symbols that are likely to make me want to march up and down in jackboots before invading Poland have been covered with stickers.

I'd like to remove them without damaging the postcards if possible - anybody tried this before and got a good method of doing it or should I rely on the old boiled kettle routine?

Sticker removal...

Depending on what sort of adhesive your dealing with here and how long they have been stuck on your postcards. Self-adhesive stickers can be removed by heating with a hair dryer and very carefully peeled off. I hope this little bit of information is of some help!
