I'm very confused... These pictures was taken in july 1940, then because these men are wearing the Einheitsfeldmütze ?
Is this another model ?

Looks like a Bergmutze to me.Very similar in appearance to the M43 so they're easily mistaken as such.Jim

I also think it is a Bergmutze (because you said July 40) - visor is shorter than on M43, but hard to see on the pics

Seems you can also just make out an Edelweiss on the lefthand picture.

Without doubt, and it´s never mind when the photos have been done, its a tipical bergmütze.
