Just a guess; early East German troops, maybe Kasernierte Volkspolizei.
May You bring a closeup of a buckle from that guy in the middle?

Hi CVRC, not a uniform that I recognise. But certainly WW2 in date. They are wearing a mixture of German and Soviet kit. The boots are Russian "Shapogis" as it the PPS43 SMG triple ammo pouch. The way they are wearing the uniform would suggest they are "Russians" serving with a German sponsored Police type unit of some sort?
Nice pic by the way. I wonder how many of these guys survived the war?

Hi guys these men are Slovenian partisans (guerilla fighters 1941-1945) from Kozjansko region at Spodnja Stajerska (Unter Steiermark).They are all in Fire Protection Police uniforms.A week after this photo was taken they were all dead.They encounter some bigerr and better equiped German unit and they all perished.So this is their first and also last photo in newlly acquired German uniforms.They were really unlucky.That's brief explanation.Regards.CVRCComment
