S boat 1st Pattern Doc copy?

i have just recieved this from an auctionhouse, i do believe this is a clever aged copy, look at the strange border on the edge,

i would like other opinions to provide when i ask for my money back.

It does look like its a modern scan, a quick look with a magnifying glass should confirm that. What colour is the reverse?


Looking at it a second time, the edges of the letters and leaves are fuzzy and indistinct as you would get from a scan.

Looks like the Date is typed over the Stamp? Maybe normal but something ive not seen before.
